Keep the DJ booth close to the dance floor, as the DJ is the main entertainment for the evening, it will allow the DJ to interact with and read the crowd, as well making it more inviting for the guests to dance.
When making your seating arrangements, keep in mind that younger people generally like louder music while the older people will complain that it’s too loud. This is fixed by seating the younger people closer to the DJ, where the speakers are, and seating the older people farther from the DJ.
